Lilian began the counseling education program at UL in 2017 and specialized in Clinical Mental Health.
Lilian is passionate about helping people find a way to adapt with different life transitions, exploring life’s meaning and purpose, body positivity, mental health disorders, substance abuse problems, trauma, and family issues to maintain healthier relationships with loved ones and manage everyday stressors.
Lilian has had the opportunity to work in inpatient psychiatric facilities, outpatient facilities, outpatient substance abuse program, and mental rehabilitation in the community. In these settings, she had the opportunity to gain experience to provide specialized services to individuals who have experienced abuse/trauma, homelessness, and problems with substance abuse/ addiction.
She has dedicated her career to help individuals dealing with various mental health issues such as:
• Depression
• Anxiety
• Bipolar disorder
• Schizophrenia
• Addiction
• PTSD.

"My primary treatment modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), a Systemic Approach, and a Strength-Based Approach. I want to create a safe space for clients to feel comfortable discussing daily challenges and work toward their goals in a collaborative relationship. I also want to challenge my clients and have them exam their situations and lives from each angle helping them along their journey to grow."
