She works with families to create a consistent discipline system that improves family cohesion. In addition, she works with individuals and couples to address marital and family stress, with a focus on creating healthy relationships and boundaries.   

Necia prefers to use an integrative approach to therapy, meaning she will utilize the different approaches and skills that she is competent in to provide the most congruent experience for her clients. These treatment methods include:  Play Therapy, Art Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), Solution Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS)

I have been working with children for as long as I can remember! I became a teacher in 2015, and instantly realized my desire for “more.” I quickly got my Master’s in Marriage & Family Counseling. Since 2016, I have been providing therapy services to families, couples and children. I have worked closely with the LGBTQ+ population, individuals struggling with substance use, mixed race families, minorities, and children/families in different stages of life. 

I love spending time with my 1.5 year old daughter and our 3 dogs! I have been with my partner since we were 15, and have known him since we were less than a year old. I have lived in multiple states, and have made my way back to our home town of Lafayette! We are so happy to be back home and love spending free time doing art and going on adventures to new places!
