Ann specializes in
As a child & family therapist, I approach counseling with a mix of play, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), & strength-based perspectives. I guide families & individuals through life changes & process events that keep us from living our most fulfilling lives. My experience consists of connecting the awareness between thoughts, actions, & reactions to what we can control.
I am here to assist through life transitions so that my clients can truly thrive in the present & be set up for success in the future. You may be searching for guidance while experiencing behavioral issues at home or school. You might have concerns about your child’s mood or behaviors that hinders their overall wellbeing.
Ann prefers to use an integrative approach to therapy, meaning she will utilize the different approaches and skills that she is competent in to provide the most congruent experience for her clients. These treatment methods include: Play Therapy, Art Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Client-Centered Therapy.
From Ann: "In life, we are given opportunities to evolve. With you being the expert regarding your feelings and goals, we will confidently work together to process what is in front of you and take steps to where you would like to go from there. This journey does not have to be traveled alone and I look forward to becoming part of that journey."
I have been working with children for as long as I can remember and come from a large family! I am the youngest of 9 siblings & an aunt to 15 beautiful souls! My family is also blended. I believe that this background has been beneficial to me in my work therapeutically to understand thoughts and feelings coming from my clients.
In my free time, I enjoy time with my large family and friends.
