Dr. Sherika Guidry-Simon is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She is a proud mother and grandmother. After high school, she attended ULL of Lafayette and graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education (1-5) with a minor in Special Education Mild/Moderate (1-12). She went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education. Two years later, she earned another Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from American College of Education. She earned a third Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and three years later earned a doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision. She is driven to help people that have undergone mental health issues and lead others in making a difference in the communities that surrounds them.

From Dr. Simon:

I see counseling as a process in which you the client, and the Counselor, come to understand and trust each other, work as a team, and develop goals to improve life, in which you the client will be successful in achieving the best results possible. 

I focus on clients with parent-child issues, behavioral issues, chronic mental illness, infant mental health, and many others.
