Maria has 10 years of counseling experience and has worked in a variety of settings including home-based counseling, inpatient psychiatric hospital, and intensive outpatient. Maria has worked with clients with severe and chronic mental health conditions including substance use disorders, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, and severe Depression and Anxiety. Maria has experience working with LGBTQIA+ individuals and has enjoyed volunteer work at Acadiana CARES.
