Scotty is a member of Chi Sigma Iota’s Counseling Academic and Professional Honor Society International, The National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) Leadership Honor Society, and Delta Alpha Pi International Honor Society. 

Scotty has been working in the helping profession for over 25 years. He has worked with a vast and diverse population, including children, adolescents, and adults. Scotty offers a safe, judgment-free, empathetic and compassionate environment where clients can feel comfortable and feel free to be themselves. 

Scotty is a Licensed Addiction Counselor, licensed by the Louisiana Addictive Disorder Regulatory Authority, and holds international credentials as an Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor. He currently also works with Louisiana State Opioid Response Program facilitated by LSU Health and Science Center New Orleans.

Scotty's counseling approach is Humanistic, where he believes that each client possesses within themselves the ability to heal and overcome life’s challenges. Scotty works together with each client to develop a specific therapeutic plan that focuses on the goals of each client. 

“I believe in empowering my clients, teaching them healthy coping skills, but most importantly, how to implement these new skills in their lives. I further believe, that once a client begins to heal, they will reach a higher level of wellness, leading to a much happier and more fulfilled life.”
