Certificate in Contemporary Theories in Mental Health Services; Capella University, 2018

Prior to Tawana's counseling career, she worked in the Head Start Program and in various public-school settings. 

She continues to gain experience working with children and teens in schools in Lafayette and surrounding areas. 

Tawana specializes in

She also works with depression, Bipolar Disorder, addiction, stress, anger management and life transitions.  

Clientele: Children ages 4+, adolescents, young adults, adults

Tawana uses a person-centered appraoch using unconditional positive regard to build a healthy therapeutic  relationship to help clients grow.

She believes in providing a comfortable, non-judgmental and safe space for clients to explore feelings and work through adversities.

Tawana is a proud wife, mother, and step-mother. When Tawana is not counseling, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, listening to music and creating Cricut projects.
